They sell them at any drugstore/pharmacy. It is actually a nasal aspirator and sucks mucous out of the airways...it does not blow air INTO the airways. I'm not a vet but blowing air into the airways is probably not a good idea unless they need puppy CPR. The nasal aspirator just removes mucous and liquids that may be blocking the airways...clearing the way for them to breathe easier.

Go talk to your vet. You don't squeeze air into the mouth, you are aspirating the stuff out. I'm sorry to sound rude, but if you are that uninformed and you expect to help your dog keep her puppies alive then you need an education fast.

I cna't think of the name but the easiest and cheapest is to buy an human ear cleaning and most have tehm in there. That's what my sister useas and she's been breeding for 20 years.
Make sure you have a heating pad. something to tie the umbiblical cord so if she doesn't chew it off herself you might have to tear it by tieing or we use forceps will stop the bleeding. if you use forceps leave on while you clean pup.
Also have plenty of newpapers, using a blanket isn't good as it will get wet and keep teh pups damp as well as th mother ussually moves around an d digs a lot between contractions and having the pups and teh pups may get caught and sufficate.

Good Luck.

It's called a bulb syringe and yes you can get one at the chemist - check in the "baby products" section, as they are used to clear nasal passages in babies with stuffy noses.

You mean an infant suction bulb?? Its used to suction the mucus out of the pups nose and air way right after birth. Its not used to blow air into the new born pups.

Bulb syringe is the name you're looking for. Some people call it a nasal aspirator.

A quick telephone call to a veterinarian will probably get you a correct answer.

a vacuum cleaner turned to 'blow' should have the same effect. failing that, take it to the local garage and use the air supply there.

hope this helps
