i totally agree with you, i have 2 dead brothers, and all the drivers had only 1 pint of larger....look at how many cars are parked in the pubs car-parks....can anyone hold their hand on their heart and say that "all the drivers of those vehicles are not in the pub drinking alcohol".....I'm sure there maybe a handful of "nominated " drivers, but not all of them.....and its only when they maim or kill someone that it finally sinks home to most of them....i say most because the drunk driver that killed my first brother wasn't fazed in the least....he drove home and watched a football match...and was doing so when the police arrived at his door....anyone who drinks and drives is a fool......there seems to be plenty of fools out there eh?

I agree. The problem is that the government get huge revenue from petrol and most aspects of motoring and drinking. People forget the years that the government would not agree the link between cancer and smoking, because the money smoking put into the kitty was enormous. We have too many cars on the roads and too many accidents, but the profits are too great and who worries about a few thousand lives? In the social structure we have created money rules!!

I agree with you entirely, but the problem as always is how do you police these matters. I think cars should be made with a mini-breathalyzer in them so you have to breath into them before they will start and if the reading is over the limit then there would be no way the engine could start up. I think it would save a lot of innocent lives from being taken by drunk drivers.

During resperation the human body creates alchohol as a biproduct making a Zero limit impossible.

The only reason there is a tolerance is so people that have drunk one night slept till morning and the drove arent all instantly over the limit, although some still are.

I understand your point, good luck buddy.

I don't know anywhere that bans smoking in cars (not in Australia at least), but I agree that all alcohol drinking should be banned for all drivers. Alcohol and driving do not go together in any form.

I have no problem with a zero tolerance approach to drinking & driving. However, as with so much else in this country, the laws are made to appease those who object to the absolute, rather than what is right.

First off drinking does not effect people around you. Mind you I am talking about drinking and not driving around drunk. I myself am just tired of having to breath smoke. I have a lot of problems from eyes to the back of my throat, on just getting pist off all to hell over having to breath it. You probably asking yourself who is this dum sorry ***. Just put yourself in my shoes and have a taste of the good life of having to breath that crap for far to long. 2nd hand smoking kills, and smoking kills as well wtf. Soon, smoking will be banned period!

As far as drinking, yes I understand that point all to well. Make sure if you post about my first two lines, you understand driving around drunk and having a drink.

Exactly - anybody who drinks and then gets behind the wheel of a car is a moron.....it doesnt' matter if you've only had one pint, it affects your judgement....
