keep away from the miracle cures and devices that claim to be able to get rid of your belly. Someone has already mentioned diet and exercise - that is quite right (if a bit vague).

You need to change your diet to allow you to lose fat all over your body (no such thing as spot fat reduction other than liposuction). While you are changing your diet, change your lifestyle to include more exercise.

Find a local gym and / or slimming class that you can attend, purely for the support of the other members who are struggling with similar goals.

You're looking to change your whole lifestyle - this won't happen overnight - so don't expect immediate results. If you keep it up, you will not only be healthier, fitter but feel better about your own body shape and size

Good luck

Dieting and Aerobic excersize. You have to get rid of the layer of fat that is over top the muscle. Just doing Ab workouts will do nothing for you.

Try eating healthy, drinking less, and maybe taking up a sport on the regular. Play basketball or hockey a few times a week.

If not that, then take up karate, or something a long those lines.

This way it is fun, and beneficial to you in other ways as well.

If you still aren't interested, you could run a few miles a few times a week.

Good for your heart, mind, and soul.

Change the beer brand to one you don't really like, and thus reduce beer consumption. Also heard that pilates is good for reducing beer bellies. Bought the book, but have not dared opening it yet.

Yes you do have to lay off the beer but --first you need to start walking. Walk at least 30 minutes everyday. If you can't do that it is ok. Work up to it.Start off with simple exercises like the quadraplex.Bent-leg raises, and trunk flexion exercises are good.Invest in an exercise ball.Do normal ab exercises using the ball.Your abs will work harder and you will accomplish more.Sit-ups or crunches work but they work harder with variation.
