it depends on what you really think of her...if you want her to just be a friend, keep it that way...don't lead her on to think that you want more
if she asks how to get over you again, just tell her that she needs to move on with her life...she is sounding desparate
if you still have more than friendly feelings for her, tell her

well from the look of things you are not in love with this girl. Because you want to protect your friendship wit her brother which you think is more worthy than having a relationship with her. And for sure this relationship cant last, to avoid an even greater heart break to this girl tell her exactly how you feel now, than make her feel better now an then chicken out later. It will hate I know but it is the best thing to do right now. Be honest wit her and your friendship with her might last.

say her that you love her always but ask her a straight question that will she stand by you always and even if both of your parents doesnot agree . Tell her that you are unhappy that you have ruined the frienship between you and her brother. Ask her the reason why she broke up the last time and tell her that this relation can and will continue only if such things does not repeat in future.
Check out if there is any change in her, if you find her the same then dont let her mess your life any more

She is pulling the oldest trick in the book, and you are falling for it!
It is called, GUILT, my friend. I can't believe she actually asked you what she should do to get over you! It wasn't too hard for her to get over you when she was with that other guy, was it?
You are basically arguing with yourself. You did the right thing by ending the relationship. Boyfriends/girlfriends will come and go, but true friends are for life.
Just stick to your guns. Keep her as a friend, and nothing more. She just wants to make you feel guilty. Keep moving forward, and I am sure she will too. Sure, she is going to make it look like she is still all caught up in you, but trust me, she is only doing it to make you feel like a jerk for dumping her.
If she can't maintain it as friends, then put some distance between the two of you. If she really cared about you, she would respect your decision and let it go.
Good luck!

Usually a clean cut from her and time is the best way for her to get over you. Time heals all wounds. If she's that hooked on you any effort on your part to stay close friends could be misunderstood by her as a flicker of hope for romance.
In time she'll find someone else and she will be happy.
Remember you are not responsible for her happiness.

It sounds like you are using the brother as an excuse. Because it shouldn't be the relationship with him that has you botherd if he dosen't want you dating her, that is a little different but you don't say that. This could make your frienship with her brother better, find out how he feels about it. I would be mad that you hurt my sister and that would end our friendship faster than anything.

if you know there is no point starting a relationship then you should meet her for coffee and all that as it is kind of leading her on to think you are interested. sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, so you should just stop meeting her and calling her and having any contact. otherwise tell her you don't want to be with her and be firm. once she gets over you she will see that you had her best interests at heart and will have respect for you, even though it might take time.

There used to be a radio program, about a character called The Shadow. He had "the power to cloud men's minds."
You have answered the question about how he managed to do that: he practiced on himself.
I've read your question four times and I become more confused each time I read it. Maybe if you could put this down in a 1,2,3 order, people could be clearer about what your situation is and what question you would have us answer.

You're going to have to explain why you only want to be friends with her. What makes you think it won't last? Ask your self why you wanted a relationship before? Did her brother approve of the two of you? There maybe more to this than you're saying.
