The basis for a protest is that you are being unfairly taxed in relation to other properties in the same taxing district. Many owners have the idea that, if their property is over assessed by twenty percent over market value, they are being unfairly taxed. This is not necessarily the case, if the OTHER properties in the taxing district are over assessed by a similar percentage.

Each taxing municipality has a given amount of revenue it needs to raise via the property taxation process. As long as this revenue is raised in a fashion equitable to ALL owners in the district, there is no basis for complaint.

because property tax aswell as income tax is a form of slavery. You do not own your home. I can understand a one time tax of 20% or something but it shouldn't be yearly.
