I'm with you in that I cannot stand the so called Christians who consider themselves better than others. We're all humans, we're all flawed. Jesus came to save us from our flaws. Some choose forgiveness, and some choose to brave life on their own. It's their choice, but when it comes down to it, we're all human and the same in our flaws.
I don't think it's fair to base an opinion off of the "some" Christians though. Approximately 80% of America associates themselves in some way to a church, but seriously, how many of them ACTUALLY believe? 40%, maybe? If even that much. I really disgust those people who claim a faith yet don't hold it's tenants, it does nothing but give the faith a bad name (mainly Protestants and Catholics).
Sadly, these kinds of people are a lot more prominent than actual believers. I don't know why this is the case, but it is. Either way though, if you really want a true impression of Christians, have an open mind. People are instantly geared to find fault with Christians when they go to church. Yes, you will find those people who are so stuck up with themselves that it's disgusting, but you'll also find a lot of people honestly searching for God and trying to live the best life for Him and for others. These people have their flaws, though, and unfortunately that's all that gets portrayed.
We aren't perfect, so please don't hold us up to that standard unless you yourself want to be held there. We should act on a higher standard, however, but sadly the people who do are not recognized.

The only best religion there is, is salvation. & salvation is an experince & not a talk or religion. We are not better then anyone, Us Christians only have salvation & the atheists don't, Now you say in your lifetime you have saw this & that, I am presuming I have saw a lot more than you, because 98% of the people on this site is younger then me & less time of being a Christian, therefore I have saw way more in life then you have, I am 57 years old & been a Christian for a little over 37 yrs. Don't you think I saw a lot in those years.

Well, atheists tend to believe they are better than believers, too. In fact, people generally support their own ideas to the exclusion of other people's. That's natural. And there is no denying that there are good people and bad people in both camps.

I guess it all depends on the person. I see people all the time who make me wish they didn't tell people they were christians because of their actions. But then again I do the same thing alot, I let pride or many others things get in the way and probably let alot of people down when I do that.

Cause they're holier than atheists.
My experience has shown me that church people tend to take offense where none is indended, and to hold grudges, and they have other odd emotional quirks; but they have one advantage over atheists: They are holier.
The thing that really bugs me about church people is their smirkage. I don't recall reading in their holy scriptures where Jesus said "Service with a smirk."

I agree, and I DON'T believe in God. If you believe in God,yet act as you say, more power to you. Actions matter to me, I'll take a decent mannered Christian over an a s s hole atheist who wants to "vandalize a church"any day.

For a lot of us, the only atheists we are exposed to are the ones here. (I suppose that is true of various other kinds of folks here, too.)
Now maybe the ones you know are gold-hearted Secular Sister Marys saving orphans and whatnot - but the atheists we encounter here are anything but kind hearted friends to fuzzy pets and small children.
Day after day, we are barraged with posts telling us we're stupid, we're idiots, and unschooled in science (ironic, since many of them themselves have made grossly wrong statements on that topic.) Over and over again, day after day, we get hammered with this. Little human charity is ever expressed on these forums by any Christian to any atheist (and sadly the vice versa is true as well.)
Trust me - if YA is one's only exposure to atheists and Christians, it isn't difficult to form a generally bad opinion. Just some food for thought as people think about how they conduct themselves in future.

It is not religion which defines such behavior, Atheists can also show a similar attitude towards theists.
