I WOULD TAKE IT

2007-05-29 23:52:08 · answer #1 · answered by Traveller 2 · 1 0

I don*t believe that there is one person who hasn*t at some point in time said *if only I could go back and keep the knowledge that I have now*. I*ve said it. Yet, if I truly could go back....I don*t think that I would. All my life experiences have taught me a lesson in some way or another, and make me the person that I am today. I*m still experiencing life, and still learning..and will do so until I take my last breath. I believe if I concentrate more on the here and now I can shape what remains of my future, instead of trying to change my past.Sure I made mistakes...costly ones...but a life without mistakes isn*t a life. Live and learn.

What an incredible question - love it.

Of course I would take it
I would not have moved out from mothers house and married, I left my younger brother there, whom I believe felt so sad and alone as well as mistreated by society that he took his own life, I don't blame myself, just think that if I had the "do over" things might have been different, and to top it off I ended up divorced anyway, lol, thats a good thing

No i would not take it and i would not do a "do over".
I remember seeing this movie 13 going on 30 and in a scene Jennifer Garner asks her mum if she could go back in time and change anything and her mum replied no.

The explanation she gave for saying no was simply that if she went back and rectified all her mistakes, she would never have learnt from them and she would never have been a better person in life. I loved that answer. That's why mine is no.

I had a chance for a "do over" in a relationship. It was a friendship that both of us wanted to turn into a romatic relationship; but we were both going out with others at the time. 6 years later we talk on the phone and were about to have dinner, she tells me she wants to know if things could have been different. Then she tells me she's engaged....

I would love a "do over"; but not in that situation....sigh.....

If only...... I would do a lot of things differently. Maybe study in a different field although I love teaching. I always wanted to be a diplomat/political leader.
I would be more open and self confident with girls. I was rather timid when I was young and lost so many chances.

I would finish college!!!!!! The opportunities and careers that are closed to me because I don't have a diploma would make my financial situation so much better.

I would re-examine the reasons I married- but would do it again anyway cause my 4 kids are awesome!

I would invest the money my dad left to me when he died instead buying the stupid stuff my husband demanded at the time. ( And use part of it to finish my degree)

There's a few. But we can't do it over so choose wisely, grasshopper! And learn to live with choices you make.

If I could do over, I would have joined the Air Force.
AND I would not have gotten married the 2nd time.

I will be 53 tomorrow and and thankful for that, but would like to have followed that dream, but didn't because I was in loveeeeeeeeee!

yes i would take it
my do over would be to have listened to my friends and family while in high school. i dated a total dirtbag and everyone told me to dump him. we were both in our junior and senior years of high school, and we fought all day everyday, about the stupidest things. we probably broke up like a thousand times within the two years. but we always started dating again. he treated me bad and probably cheated on me too. but i was dumb and stayed with him. Finally i realized that i was better than that, and we broke up at the end of our senior year, and i havent spoke to him since!!! that was like 5 years ago! im so much happier now and i found the man of my dreams and we just got married in september!! life is soooo great!!

I'd enjoy several periods of time in my life more, and make sure I don't wait until it's over to know that it was a great time I should have enjoyed to the fullest, instead of thinking of it as just another day.
