he is only a year old and sometimes has quite sticky eyes, i would definatley take him to my nearest local vets but they charge soooo much money, a friend of mine went there to have her rabbits teeth filed and it has cost her £70 to £100! i love my rabbit but i don't know if i can pay that much money.

You need to get him to the vet if he doesn't eat for more than 24 hours. Digestive and dental problems are the most common illnesses of rabbits, and they are far more debilitating to them than to dogs and cats as rabbits have such a fast metabolism - they cannot survive for long without eating.

Hopefully your rabbits 'just' needs his teeth trimmed - rabbit's teeth constantly grow and if they are not worn down by the correct diet (lots of hay and rabbit pellets) they will become overgrown and make it difficult or impossible for the rabbit to eat.

Be aware that your rabbit may have a digestive problem - if he stops passing pellets this would be considered an emergency situation, is it it would probably mean an impacted ileum or caecum which can be fatal quite quickly.

Like I said, get him to a vets

Your bun NEEDS medical attention. Rabbits have a short digestive track, which should never be empty. Even not eating for a day can be deadly to him.

Contact the RSPCA, they often will see an animal for little or no fees or will work out a payment plan with you.

If you are unable to care for your animal's health problems it would be in his best intrest that you surrender him. I know that sounds mean, but you have to think of him first, it's the responsible thing to do. There is a reason he is not eating.

It sounds like he may have gotten into contact with a parisite. Take him to the vet and request that they check him for worms also. Rabbits get them, too.

usually once they stop eating there isn't much you can do, even the vets don't know what to do for rabbits.....thats why mine have never seen a vet! try force feeding him some water that might help a bit

You could always call a vet and ask their opinion and advice on the situation. I have called the vet twice and both times they gave me home remedies to try.

I not sure really what to say but I suggest you take him to the vets as they will be able to answer your problem and help deal with it.
