We are not so much strangers, as we are alike. When we know our own suffering, it is only natural to help. Help is only help when it is wanted, accepted and of pure intention.
yes I would ... when I can, if I can and how I can
Otherwise I would be arrogantly misaligned.
Love to all.

Yes, I would, provided that I meet the complete stranger normally like in the public and in the daylight. I experienced such a kind help (in fact, more than one) in York in the UK during our trip there in 1997, I needed to visit a restroom but I could not find any except the great stone wall around the great Minster there. Fortunately, I saw a middle-aged man standing and smoking a cigarette in front of a small restaurant. I approached and asked him where I could visit a toilet, he kindly pointed to the back along a small path and said something like over there. You know it was a relief for me after walking to find the place for a long time. I won't forget the man and the restaurant and I hope to revisit them whenever I can afford another trip there.

The fact that someone needs help and I have the capability to help is enough reason, no matter if the needy person is a total stranger or my sister, Ginger. However, one of the key requisites is that I should not believe that such help could put me or my near and dear into any danger or loss.

Your only a stranger until you meet and what better way to meet then to give someone a helping hand, In all things you must follow your own conscious, Can you imagine a world were NO ONE helped another out? Can you Imagine a world where EVERYONE helped someone out, which world would you rather live in? While I realize we can't save the world isn't it our duty to just do what we can for each other?

It depends on the situation. If we have strong psychological intuition then we can even go deeper in our own analysis whether the stranger really needs help or not.
Of course for the Christian,we are told to just entertain stranger simply because many have already entertain angels unaware.

Since I don't know any of the people on Yahoo Answers, I am always helping complete strangers.

I would...because I have had people - to whom I was a complete stranger - going out of their way to help me . Remember the Golden Rule?? Do unto others as would have them do unto you. These words spoken by Jesus about 2000 years ago still hold weight and work amazingly!!

I'm currently answering questions here on Yahoo Answers and I'm helping pure strangers. Well that is online though.
In person I would like to help a complete stranger because I want to experience how good it is to help him/her. My dream is to have friends who could know me because I helped them unconditionally and as a stranger. I always daydream that I can help a stranger and then we can be friends.

YES! what do you need, if I can, I will help - I call it interacting with society. If the day arrives when no-one will stand up and help, we're doomed.
It makes me happy be able to help others. The hope being that when and if I need them, someone willl be there.(my parents taught me this - am I just an old hippie)
Good luck
(yahoo answers is based upon this principle)

Depends on what kind of help they need. I feel people cross your paths for a reason. As in to share advice when you are seeking it, boost your emotional state, or the needy, and you will not be burdened with something you cannot handle. It's all a reason, as in if you need the help at a time, or someone needs yours. We are "acting" as angels to/for someone at times or someone is being our angel at other times.
