yes.just like mba or mbf courses m.com is also having good market value. m.coms are preferred inbanks ,insurance ,retail or any other commercial venture. recently sbi has announced 3,500 posts. generally m.com people opt for banking sector. itis not the question of m.com or m.b.a. it is the depth of knowledge in the subjects concerned is most important. there are several business schools wherein staff members are paid low salaries even though they are collecting huge fees. it is the reason why the standards in business schools are very low. if u choose such business school what u will learn. hence selection of good school with experienced faculty preferably with doctorates is most important. itis no matter m.com or m,b,a but subject is most important. all the best.

Yes it has value. To derive the value a M.Com post graduate has to use the subjects studied in work areas where it is needed (Subjects indicate where they are in use like corporate world , research & teaching. It is true that manyM.coms are in teaching line & it does not mean that they cannot be good managers in corporate & commercial world. In fact there are good managers with M.com & there are bad managers with MBA.Subjects offered in M.com varies fromUniversity to university, One should make use the subjects studied identifying the sector where they are used.
