They all did some thing good and some thing bad. But the present day rulers are worst than all the three you mentioned.

Mughals were Muslim, so your question is between Mughals and British.
You also have o factor in the Marathas.
Both British and Mughals invaded, and were of a religion different to the majority of Indians.
British had an underlying rectitude and belief in good and consistent administration. The British eliminated thuggee for example - something that the Mughals seem not to have noticed. The Mughals were feudal, and the word of the ruler was the end of any question. Governance was unpredictable. Zemindars had far more power under the Mughals than the British.
Mughals were (generally) tolerant of other's beliefs. British were not, at least after about 1830 when the dreadful evangelicals infiltrated
But the question is impossible to answer in any final manner. The Mughals were in decline, which is how the British managed to take over. If the British had not happened by someone else would have. That is part of the ebb and flow of empires.

The invasions of those you referred happened in different time period of times and the subcontinent,India population was different considerably.
so the loss of human life can not be assesses on a common base.
But compared to others during British India was divided in so many territories and the human life was worse with wars between territorial rulers and after India was given Independence ,not as a country but all samsthanams (small territories )were declared independent. To unite them again and bring together there was again unrest .the partition of India into two parts also caused lot of damage and made lives insecure and people were made to run for their lives leaving their homes, properties ,relatives ,what not all.So i consider during the British rule the people suffered a lot and their(British)impact was there after they left the country even
Regrading present rule the people even after 60 years ofter Independence ,have yet to get food, shelter and education and clothing. All politicians appear to make some thing good. That is all..no one is really interested in the welfare of common man.The rich are growing richer and poor are growing poorer.Even minimum medical help is a dream in rural side.potable water is another dream.

Welllllll, I would vote for the British, who kind of just moved in and took over, little by little. Like, oh, you have neat stuff, why don't we set up a store here and trade back and forth? Then, oh, there's thieves and such around so we need a private army; and after that, oh, our government has discovered there's a lot of corruption here, (yeah, yeah, some of it we do) so they're going to take over and send in the regular army, but you'll love it! Our queen's a hoot and she's agreed to be your empress.
At least the Muslims and Moguls (I think that's what you meant, not Mongols, who were different) were fairly blatant about their intentions from the get go. But that's just me. I prefer an out and out conqueror to a sneak, who bribes and intimidates his way to power and then refuses to leave.

It is very difficult to answer this question. The reason is this that every regime during its period was best and worse as well. The Muslim invaders who conquered this country just plundered its precious metals and were not interested to rule this country. But after few centuries of their ruling, they started loving this country and established historical monuments. Taj Mahal is the finest example which is acclaimed one of the seven wonders in the world.
The Britishers during initial stage to establish their trade with Muslims were not interested to rule over this country. They tried their best to loot this country by every means like taking nazrana, or protection fees to the provincial rulers, commerce and trade taxes, hefty dividends to Company Directors in London and pensions to retired civil services officers, police officers and judges, etc., etc. On the other hand, for the furtherance of their trade, law and order and administration, they established Indian Railway network, Kotwali system of effective policing at district level.
The Britishers have given India the best ever judicial and police system as well as education and parliamentary form of government. When they left, India was in good position in trade surplus with other countries also. No doubt during their two centuries rule, they plundered this country maximum, but on the other hand they have given us so many best things in the benefit of this country.
The Mongols did not rule most of the time so they cannot be counted as worse rulers.

The British governed over India for some centuries. in this time, British had large contribution in fields of shape and transportation. They very much greater transportation by skill of establishing railroads in the time of India. This made components that have been in the previous inaccessible extra obtainable. It additionally larger the export of uncooked products, which replaced into the main important reason in the back of the British presence in India. So in a fashion all their efforts weren't meant to assist Indians yet to make the main them extra.in addition they greater the architectural components of India. lots of the homes in India have been in keeping with British concepts. The British suppressed Indian subculture. there have been no genuine large achievements. The British made a majority of the Indians labourers and servants. stable education replaced into difficult again by skill of in India in the present day. the only thank you to get a stable education replaced into to flow to London. not one of the Indian universities have been stable adequate for the British. Indians might desire to nevertheless flow to Indian universities, however the levels they won from those colleges does no longer enable them to pursue any stable jobs. This did, even although, substitute with time. The college of Calcutta replaced into the 1st college that met the standards of the British. The British did no longer truly influence lots of the cultural components of India. there have been no large achievements; even although, Indians did preserve each and every of the previous cultural achievements. The British affected neither faith nor customs.

All the three had one common policy that was to take the wealth.
But when you consider the way in which they moved then they may be ranked.
