you will always get the idiotic haters
ignore, its hard but do you respect their opinion enough to let it bother you??

and for what its worth, i thought you answered in a respectful manner, and then dealt with her backlash with dignity. your husband is doing a brave and noble thing, and is lucky he has someone with so much faith in him, right behind him, waiting for him to come home. i hope you are together safe and well soon

I'm singled out all the time in a specific site because I tend to have different views than most of the posters there; but it never upsets me cause I always use arguments, so there are two kinds of replies: 1. from idiots who call names and prove their stupidity this way 2. from intelligent people who also use arguments so we have interesting debates.

You shouldn't let it get to you. People online like the comfort of not being seen so they tend to exaggerate or be rude. Just ignore them. (I'm not sure if that's what happened there though, I just checked the link, I didn't read the conversation)

I have, but nowhere near that viciously.

I went through a few phases: shock, embarrassment, anger, then eventually I found myself thinking "You know what, I feel good about what I wrote, and if that person didn't like it or understand it - too bad for them. That person just proved that people on here notice my answers, and I'm going to consider that many who didn't comment must have liked what I said"

I bet you feel better about this tomorrow, and even better the next day!

(I liked your answer btw, and all the best to your husband)

Being singled out is when there is a conspiracy to get your ID banned. And the evil master plan works.
