There are people in my house that visit porn sites.I noticed going through the hard drive their is a lot of offensive material.As a novice to computers I was wondering does some of this stuff get automatically stored on the hard drive after visiting these type of web sites?
Also how can I clean it up.Thanks

2. Remove the HDD, from your pc and keep in in a safe place, like a safe.

Yes, and it is possible that it is stored in more than one location. First, in your browser's own temp folders, and then again in the log file of any download manager used and again in windows recent folder if the pic was viewed with a native viewer. The owner of a pc is responsible for everything on his pc even if he did not put it on himself, so porn on your pc can be a serious matter.

The only 2 ways to completely clean porn from your pc is to do a wipe of the "free space" on the hard drive. Wipedrive is a good program. But this leaves the space with data already on it unclean, and people like the police and FBI could still get partial images from there.
The best way is to completely wipe the entire hard drive and re-install windows. It is bothersome but if you have illegal images like child porn for example, is it advisable. Good luck.

No, porn images don't get saved on the hard drive. Sometimes you may get spyware/adware that causes these images to pop up when you surf the web, or it might reset your homepage to a site with these images. If you see images that are stored in folders when not browsing the internet it's from people downloading them.

When you visit any site some images/picture/banner are stored in Internet temp folder.if they have visited pron site may be some images are stored there (temp) folder. its easy to clean.
Recommended you download CCleaner which removes and cleanes all unused files/images from your PC.

do not trust any software which claims to remove porn from your hard drive ! , the only way you can remove it , is to go it search , and search for .jpeg or jpg files , this will get you all the images on the computer , most starker stealers will put it into a folder so they can find it , all you do then is delete the folder , or delete the incriminating picture files
