FARM has little to do with installation, though certainly inner city may differ in the substances you'd have to cut into, etc.
Your Q really needs more details. I was born and raised on a farm, in a time when PVC pipe wasn't thought of, but the processes remain similar in 2007.
What exactly can you detail to those who answer, with regard to what you want to accomplish?

I suppose you are talking the black polyethylene pipe.
Dig a ditch, roll pipe into it, Backfill. The connections are usually insert fitting and hose clamps.
