The extremist conservative right wing can only see things one way and cannot see past the policies they promote and how they will affect our country for generations to come. Two examples are totally botching our foreign policy and massive federal debt. We will be paying a heavy price on these for years to come. One can only hope we get a Dem in the White House in 2009 to begin the clean up of this mess, like when Bill Clinton had to clean up after the economic mess made by the first Bush president (remember the read my lips recession?).

A Halo is not meant to be seen, it is only sensed, and only by those who are lofty enough.

If you cannot see his Halo, that should tell you that you are not good enough and that you belong to a lesser level of creatures.

Don't expect to see or sense one if the Lady Senator becomes America's Leader.

You might add to your question the fact that there's approximately that same percentage who are able to see the halo that Congress wears. My personal opinion is that the president has taken a lickin' and keeps on tickin' much as Bill Clinton did when his numbers were only slightly higher in the mid-nineties. As a loyal Bush supporter, I can tell you that I am not at all happy about illegal immigration, his stand on it, nor the stand which Congress has taken. I am not happy that the Iraqi people have not taken control of their own destiny, but I don't blame that on the president, I blame it on the Iraqi people. If I believed one tenth of what the democrats say about him, I would want him impeached. Fact is, I don't believe one fiftieth of what they say. Just like you may not have believed it when it was said about Clinton by republicans. Hindsight has shown that you would have been right. I think hindsight will reveal the same of Bush.

I am not sure whether you are trying to say only 30% of people think he is Godlike or are saying only 30% see how the media tries to get that halo in every picture of him to make him seem more Godly (subliminal messages).

If you think it is the 30% who like him, I would say they are seeing what they want to.

If it is the 30% who notice this cheesy attempt at subliminal messaging, it is because they are looking too much into the situation. Who cares whether the media uses such gimmicks to trick people into liking the president. These people are typically not intelligent enough to think for themselves anyway.

It is impossible to see something that is not there. And Dumbya's halo is cannot possibly exist! The few who can see this non-existent thing are delusional. *sm*

You have it backwards. He's in office because the majority voted for him. That's how they get in. Even so, are you a crowd pleaser? Do you follow the crowds?

It might have a little to do with lying to us about the war, gas being over $3, and him being one of worst Presidents we've ever had. I certainly hope people have learned their lesson! They seemed to when it came to congress!! :)

My parents are in the 30% group. They think they are rich and are living off of their credit and mortgages and driving rented cars and calling themselves republicans. They will soon be in an apt. and then they will discover they are democrats.

That is no halo, it is a black cloud over his head. A smog cloud.
