The old exercise rules apply - you get the results you train for. For example if you want to gain strength in your legs for jumping to the hoop in basketball then you practice jumping to the hoop.

As for your question it really depends on the types of movement you use when you dance. If you predominantly use your legs and arms then these will become toned and defined. If you deliberately use your abdominal muscles, ie. move from the waste or use movements similar to abdominal muscle exercises then you will find this area becomes more toned and stronger over time.
