Has always been a phenomenal singer/songwriter and is a living legend.
I read in an magazine recently (sorry, don't recall which one) that ranked all celebrities based on how much they have donated to charity and Elton John was ranked as #1. Aside for establishing the Elton John Aids Foundation, he donates to a least a dozen other charities, ranging from the arts (National Youth Theatre and Royal Academy of Music) to human rights (Amnesty International).

the man is in a class of himself...very talented artist that is still doing it after 40yrs in the music industry...not to many people have stuck around that long and he is a huge contributor to many charities including his own the elton john aids foundation...the man is a mastermind of composing music and maybe still cant hit the high notes of the 70s but still has a masterful voice
