Sometimes when I play games, most notably poker, I get bored, and go all in on a rotten hand just so I can bail. But I never do it because I think I cannot win, or because my chips are dwindling.
When I do something, I go into it planning on winning. If I stepped into a boxing ring, it would be the same way. I might get beaten to a pulp, but that's okay. My opponent would have to beat me by KO, because as long as I am able, I am just going to keep getting up and coming back for more. (However, my technique would probably suck, so if we went full rounds, she'd probably beat me on score, but that's okay too--all's fair in a boxing ring.)

If I was in a boxing match well I would assume I would want to be and I would fight till the end. I'd rather be knocked out than give up.
Other than that i wouldn't wanna be in a boxing match unless i thought i could kick their azz.
Sometimes like a challenge you know but getting my face beat in, I don't know. lol Can I wear the protective face gear? lol

I'm a boxer so if I know the guy is just too good...I'll box him anyway...it's all about experience and learning...you'll never learn by simply throwing in the towel.

Geez...I hate fighting but as A metaphore...OK. I do know when to throw in the towel...but it took me years to learn it. Sometimes it depends on the fight.
