The six landings on the Moon were among the greatest achievements of humans in the 20th century. They were not faked in any way whatsoever.

There is far less evidence for Sir Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay reaching the summit of Everest in 1953 yet we don't see websites and TV programs disputing their achievement. Why should we deny the brave Americans who flew to the Moon?

I am not an American and have major issues with the USA and its policies but I respect and admire its space program and honour the twelve men who walked on the Moon so long ago. There is no doubt among those who were involved at the time that the Moon landings took place. This was at the height of the Cold War. Do you imagine that the Russians would have kept quiet if there was any suggestion of a fake? The Russian President was among the first of the world leaders to send congratulations to the USA when Armstrong and Aldrin landed.

If Russia aknowledged and respected the achievements of the USA, who are you to doubt them?

The main reason one might make the statement "The moon landings were faked" is ignorance. Every "proof" one might come up with to support that statement is very easily dismissed if you have just a tiny bit of knowledge about the actual era. One of the dumbest statements I´ve heard is this:
"The moon landings were faked. Reason: all the stuff they left behind. It would be worth a fortune today. If it was possible to go to the moon someone would have gone back to salvage that stuff".
The dumbest statement:
"We never went to the moon because we aren´t going there anymore. If we could go there we could use the moon to dump garbage".
As if someone would actually pay the 100 billion or so dollars, it would cost to go back to the moon today, just to dump garbage and pick up a Hasselblad camera...

Astronaut Brian O'Leary who worked alongside the likes of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Apollo 11 mission during 1967-68, commented ' If some of the films were spoiled, it is remotely possible that they (NASA) may have shot some scenes in a studio environment, to avoid embarrassment!'

There is no air on the moon, the flag was stiffened to make appear more normal as a flag.

have a look at this site

It lists the reasons and the answers too

If it was a fake then keeping all the people involved quiet all this time is even more amazing than actually humans going to the moon.

It was an aluminum foil flag that was bent to make the waves.
