I am 57 and I stay in awe of the things God has done in my life. Childhood memories are precious, but buying my granddaughter a horse, and one for me has to hit near the top. I am still crazy enough to work on breaking hers myself, and she is cowgirl enough to work by my side. Not bad for an 8 year old. I would have to say I think the best is yet to come.

Childhood! those carefree days! the fun of summer vacations! crazy adventures, exploring the woods..freaking around in the countryside. Surroundings were so green! all has changed to a concrete jungle now! Friends have scattered.. moved on..
The simple joy of just hanging out, roaming around together with pals, without worrying what the world is going through and totally unaware of how the world will be when you grow up.. those were the happiest times.

growing up with about 10 siblings in the house, I was the baby, and life was good, Mom and dad were God fearing people, and funny parents. My siblings took me everywhere and bought me stuff, all my sisters shared a room, and we would whisper late into the night, and we worked in our garden together and laughed until we cried. My brothers would play the guitar around bombfires in our yard, we would sing. Someone was always buying a classic car, and fixing it up with the great classic rock songs playing. Didnt have a t.v. or a dryer, just a round old wash machine. We lived in the big city Columbus Ohio, on a beautiful street on about 3 acres. Life has never fealt like that again. Everyday I woke up fealt like christmas, I couldnt wait to get out of bed and outside. Then after my 18th birthday dad died, and everything changed.
