I will give you a brief idea of "nature of a knowledge" you may get on web sites!

If you search 'zero' you will get details of it on many sites. Naturally you will get connected to a popular site!

So if you are good at using web "based on words" you will get related details!

If you are looking at basics of computing/number application etc concerned books will help you!

I have not seen books like that on web that are public knowledge and are popular! You will get against a payment!

I recommend that it is not sensible to search on web for any basic skill building as stated by you (as web contain a vast information, which will confuse you).

Moreover mathematics is a subject ideal for classroom learning! There are too many intricacies in learning it! If a related logic is set in your mind you will use that as it is through out your life time!

I will put it as, numbers are to count equal physical states! For example a one to one counting!

Then what is a need of zero (which has no value) is a logical question. ( a number application without a zero will immediately give answer to said question). You will get that awareness from a sensible teacher alone! So I had stated that Mathematics is a subject of class room learning!

Now guess problems related to learning basics of computing you have stated!

You have only two basic numbers to learn (zero and one)

Merged "equal ones" are 2, 3, 4, 5 ...endlessly increasing numbers!

Even without knowing said basic numbers 0 and 1 you can learn Mathematics and become a great mathematician! When you know basics you are a different mathematician and that is exactly what you are looking for!

Then more than looking at web look at yoursef! Look at teachers who rely on principles! They are everywhare and you must recognize them!

Regards!

Enter 'basic math' into any search engine and you'll get thousands of hits. Just go through them and select the ones you like.
