You shouldn't forget your mistakes, you should FORGIVE them. To forget means your doomed to repeat them, to forgive your mistakes means you acknowledge it, learn from it and move on. So much healthier.
For forgiveness from God you need to ask for it, repent your sin (be truly sorry for having done it) and make reparation (try to fix what you did wrong, where you went wrong).

First of all if you were to forget your mistakes you would repeat the same mistakes again in the future. Our mistakes teach us not to do those things again. You have to trust God that if you ask him to forgive your mistakes that he will. People will not usually forget what you did and will try to make you feel bad and some will punish you for your mistakes. But God knows everything you have done and if you are sorry for your mistakes you are OK with God.

I have made many mistakes in my life. However, as embarassed as I am about some of them, I don't make it a point to forget. It keeps me grounded and reminds me never to do something so stupid again.
That is the real reason why we all need to make mistakes. Why try to forget them only to realise a few years down the road, you're back at square one?

1. First we have to realise our mistakes and accept it
2. Dont find fault with others when the mistakes are yours
3. Analyse the possibilities to rectify it (if needed ask apology to related person)
4. Automatically you will not do the same mistakes next time, hopefully we can forget our mistakes.

guilt is not enough the question is have you learnt something from your mistake ?if the answer is yes and you are ready for not repeating that mistake again, then there is no place for any regression .you cant go back to time can you ?so if you really want to forget your guilt then stop even asking a question like this .

Mistakes makes men/women perfect provided you correct it. Error is human, until you do job/task there is no chance to commit mistakes. Until and unless you commit mistakes you will not become perfect. Do exercise on forgetting along with meditation. You will deliver excellent results.

there is no human being who never committed mistakes. Mistakes are mistakes not intentional and it happened because you are naive. you dont need to forget them as they are your reminder to keep you on track and makes you wiser. In the long run, mistakes became a collections of experience.

just repent for the mistakes you have made, ask for guidance on how to make it right, think of it as a way beneficial to - e.g it help you realize much things and that you learned a lesson. And move on, think that there are lots of things that you can still contribute even with that mistake.

If your mistake has caused harm to someone, make appropriate amends. You need to be reconciled to your past before you can move on. And if the other person is unwilling to forgive you, nevermind. Their unforgiveness is their own issue. Just be sure that you've done what is just and reasonable to make recompense.
