Last summer, I was here all the time. 2-3 hours a day. trying to get these darn points!! then, in december, my daughters were injured in a house fire and the grandfather died. I regretted spending so much time on the computer. I LEARNED LIFE IS TO BE LIVED; not being "posted" in front of a computer.
Are you neglecting an area of your "life" by being here?

p.s.
i've learned to pass-through here about 1 hour, maybe 1 or 2 days a week. other than that, i'm at "living life" with real people.

Hi Sweetie,
I notice you are still taking answers to this and I did not see it before. I hope you get mine.
I am so INCREDIBLY sorry for your loss!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot imagine the ammount of fear and sadness you experienced/are experiencing through the whole ordeal.
I pray for you, your children, and for your Grandfather in Heaven.
To answer your ? .....
When I first joined in, and starting answering questions
...FULL HONESTY HERE! I would actually get sad when someone would put a "thumbs down" to my answer.
I wrote a question to all regarding my sense of "failure" (so to speak). I don't know if you are able to check my picture to see my questions. Believe it or not, I totally put my feelings on the line about this place.
It is very addictive!
HOWEVER!!!!! It truely brings out the best (and sometimes worst) in everyone who spends time answering questions.
We are all here to HELP. Isn't that weird, and a different perspective of the Yahoo Answers. All who answer are offering advice, giving of themselves to complete strangers, who have problems, and our responses come through words of wisdom and direction. These individuals take time out of their lives to assist others.
Don't get me wrong, I know there are absurd questions and answers from members. But, from what I have read, the majority really seem like they want to help others. Is there anywere else that someone can reach out and share compassion and understanding other than here?
I sooooooooooo agree with you. I have spent too much
of my time here. In fact, my laundry is piling up so high, and my husband is due home any minute, thinking that I have been working. OOPS!!!! ;) LOL
My prayers and thoughts, again, are with you at this horrible time. You are precious for putting the question out to us, and it really did make me think!
Gotta go fold laundry!
luvs!

it's always good to remember that you still have family and friends and the computer will always be there, it isn't going anywhere. I do other stuff besides come online like reading, writing, watching tv... if i'm sick of that and have nowhere to go, that's when i use the computer.

You are so right!! There are always many things I "could" be doing instead of this--but it is sooo addicting.
I'm so sorry about your tragedy--my prayers are with you and your family.
