Sure he can, especially on offense. As you've said, he's strong, athletic and has good post moves. He's got the size to play power-forward. Dennis Rodman was a shade under 6'7" and only about 225 but he played power-forward all his life. Unfortunately, Lebron isn't a good defender just as yet. He may be able to cover the perimeter players with his quickness but he'll get bulldozed by the big men e.g. Duncan, Garnett, Howard and Boozer inside the paint. A good power-forward must've strong defensive presence down low and Lebron just doesn't have it.

On offense, sure. If the Cavs want to go small you can absolutely line up LeBron at the 4. Defensively, I'm not so sure. I don't think if I were coaching the Cavs I'd want LeBron matched up defensively against other PF's like Duncan, Garnett, or Boozer. I don't think LeBron has the post defense he'd need to handle a true 4.

Because of the tremendous athlete he is, I'm sure he could, but I don't know if it would be a great idea on a permanent basis. He would have to go against some bigger, physical players, and after a while, it would begin to take it's toll on his body. It would also increase his odds of injury, hurt his team on the defensive end of the floor, and he would also probably find himself in foul trouble more often, late in games. Obviously, you could get away with playing him there against teams that go with smaller line ups (like the Suns or Warriors), but against teams like say Detroit, San Antonio, or Utah, it probably wouldn't be as effective.

Yes he can, but he can't defend those backdoor passes done by the opposing Power Forward.
He sometimes played Power Forward on the last FIBA World Championship.

He can play there but why waste his talents on the wing driving to the basket. Its what he does best.

in terms of offense..........he can outscore opponents and is quicker than a lot of 4s in the league............however....he is quite a weak post defender............might hav problem guarding post players like duncan,garnett,boozer.............
