He is not a GIRL. It's going to ruin his mainhood. I don't care if he doesn't know how to talk yet, the child has EYES.

I know of guys that played with dolls and where wearing dresses when they where 6. And trust me, they are far from gay. Its not about what you wear or what you play with as a child that determine your sexuality!!!

I have an idea! Why don't you do some research about why people are attracted to the same sex. That way you can get some knowledge with regards to what you are afraid of and you won't need to ask questions like this one. Educate yourself with factual information instead of being worried about what PJ's your wife puts on your son. That is unless your son is 26 years old... Then you ned to be concerned!!!!
No, it will not make you son gay to wear Dora the Explorer PJ's for GODS sake. GET A CLUE!!! I am a straight guy and I am amazed at the amount of ignorant people that are out there. You have the intire internet at your fingertips to learn factual information for just about anything you want to know.
Do some research!!!!!

I would worry more about YOUR attitude about it. You don't mention your son's age, but it is a sure bet he is not even in kindergarten yet. If he were, he would be telling you both what he would and wouldn't wear. My little boy loved watching The Little Mermaid before he could walk and talk. Now he is a rough-and-tumble, normal little boy that like GI Joe, Ninja Turtles and wants to be a policeman. It has nothing to do with the object being boy or girl oriented. The bright colors and graphics grab their attention. Relax and let your son enjoy his childhood. If you act so uptight he will sense that and think HE is the one doing something wrong. If the sleeper thing bothers you so much, go buy some new pajamas for him. Better yet take him and let him pick them out.

I am assuming your are an adult , now you just need to act like one.Think of it this way, children should have the right to enjoy EVERYTHING! Nothing is going to make your son "gay". Dora the Explorer happens to be pretty, and your son knows a pretty girl when he sees one, right? I can go on and on but I'm not. So get real. Just raise your child with morals, values, respect, confidant, acceptance, to love himself you know what I mean! And he'll grow up to be a fine gentlemen. Gay,bi,or straight~Are you going to love him any less? Teach your family love not hatred and prejudice. God loves ALL children including You~ teach your family and friends THAT! Dont forget to say 'I Love YOU' every day to your family Macho-man~~~live everyday like it's your last!

I can't stand Dora either. It won't make him gay but... not something I would do if I had a son. If it were me, the sleeper would be involved in some type of accident or lost somehow lol

Hello,

I don't think that by wearing a specific kind of sleepers will change his sexual preference. I think you have the right to choose some of those things so why don't you go and get different kind of sleepers and just try to introduce them to your kid?

Just get involved in his education and teach him new things. Don't think ahead of time and try to understand why your wife likes to watch that show. She may be seen a great connection between your kid and the show and that is why they like it.

There is also a character in that cartoon that is a boy. This show is great because it teaches them how to resolve problems and how to be tolerant. It is also bilingual and those things are priceless. I do not see anything wrong with the cartoon, really! Just relax and enjoy that period of time in your child when he has the right to be sweet and sensitive.

Good luck!

you're funny. you can't be serious. but if you are, you are going to have a really hard time trying to explain to your wife how it will make him gay because there is no tie between wearing a dora sleeper and being gay.

That wont make you gay nothing makes you gay your either born that way or you choose to be that way no one can make you be gay so dont worry about that. It might however give him some what of a femane side and nothing wrong with that I know guys who are that and not gay and still manly. It is however odd of her to even want him in that unless he just likes it then thats ok its not like she is taking him out in public in a dora outfit so I would not worry about it if I where you.

If he's still some what a baby then he wouldn't even know what is going on. I say don't make a big fuss about it for now.

But you can let her know that when he is older that you'd rather see him in some thing more for a boy, say that you don't want him to be embarrassed by it. But that for now it's OK, indulge her for the moment, but you can let her know that it's only for this short time.

You can tell her maybe later we will put him in some thing that is a little more for boys, just so that he isn't embarrassed later.

You can't "make" someone gay. If he's gay I can guarantee you it's not because he wore Dora the Explorer as a child.

I could see your concern if she was dressing him in a Disney Princess nightgown with ruffles and sequins, but this is Dora the Explorer you're talking about. Dora is for both boys and girls. If it bothers you that much go out and look for jammies with Dora's cousin Diego on them.
