Sin and Cos of Corresponding angles

sin(90-theta)=cos(theta)
cos(90-theta)=sin(theta)
same for radians just put pi in where 90 degrees is.

sin^2 Angle A + cos^2 Angle A = 1

If you have a right triangle of sides a, b and c....

And you're given...

sin x = b/c

and you are asked for cos x....and you only know the length of b and c... Use pythagorean theorem coupled with RTT(Right Triangle Trigonometry) to find the cos x

So...

a = Sqrt(c^2 - b^2)

Therefore

cos x = Sqrt(c^2 - b^2)/c = a/c

Done.
