Yes i could survive.....but Id be grumpy as hell without coffee, milk or sugar. I reckon i could make fishing nets out of flax fibres, also shell fish can always be found just under the wet sand line. Then theres limpets and sea urchins, crabs, abalone and stuff that live on the rocks, Id have to dive for crayfish but it would be sooo worth it.......I would take note of where the low tide line was, and build a rock enclosure or huge net that would trap fish everytime the tide goes out. I could use fish guts to lure in small sharks then spear them or even grab their tails and drag em ashore. I could figure out how to weave clothing from flax, and building a shelter would be fun. Ill need a clear water bottle to start my fires, coz when theyre filled up with water......the suns rays can be focussed thru them just like a magnifying glass. If its really a tropical island there will be small animals and birds, coconuts, bananas, mangoes, papaya, berries and pineapples would make it a virtual paradise when the fruits are in season.........hell I wanna be marooned!!!!...

We'll ALL find out in about 50 years....

However as for now...I doubt it...you'd have to rely on fish and keep a constant fire going...unless you like parasites. Unless you took boy scouts/girl guides and really paid attention to survival training you'd probably die eating something poisonous and it had better rain a lot or you'll be a prune in no time.

I know forever the optimist!!

if you have to survive....you do what u can....I heard some lady say she was in a situation like that....but there was no food...after a day or so...she was sitting on a log...and a lizard came up...she grabbed it...bit it's head off...and thought it was just great....I guess we would do that if we were starving or so thirsty.....ozzy would be proud...haha
