There are many different meanings that could be applied to 'secret'. An intimate moment between lovers is likely done in 'secret' from the rest of the world.
Of course there are secrets that maybe shouldn't be kept, but there are some things that should be done in secret too.
For instance, I went to school with a girl whose father beat her and her mother. She and her mom were too afraid to do anything about it. So i told the principal of my school, without telling the girl I was going to. A secret. I didn't tell her because I knew she would tell me not to.
Her parents ended up getting a divorce, which was best for her and her mother.
On the other hand, there are secrets that are obviously wrong. Like planning to steal, or kill.
Secrets are one of those things that can't all be lumped into good and bad. Each on is different. Some are justifiable, some are not and for some it depends on what side of the secret you are on.

Depends on what those things are. If you were planning to overthrow the government...then yes...that would be wrong and I feel you should definitely tell everyone about it. However, if you were planning a 40th birthday for your wife..then what's the harm in a little old fashioned surprise party. Clearly you have to decide where your decpetive activities lie on the scale of severity.

No because there are many things done in secret. From planning parties to getting gifts to having a baby.
You have to decide for yourself what things done in secret are bad and what things are good.

Things done in secret always find a way of getting out eventually, which really sux! and they always end up hurting someone...
When i was little my teacher told me it was her birthday, and not to tell anyone. I couldnt not tell anyone, so i tell this one boy and told him to promise not to tell anyone, but he ended up telling the whole class, the teacher was so mad at me.
