Before, I thought I was prepared.
After, I was pleased to learn that curiosity is still relevant.

We all face cross-roads, where the Devil waits to see just what direction we're apt to take. We fail to realize the fraility of our individual lives, taking for granted each single event and it's "ripple effect"--as days move on with time--just what impacts we face from our past actions.
And it happens in a blink of an eye.
18 years ago, my life hit rock bottom hell....something I care NOT to stroll down memory lane to revisit. Today, by comparison--life is much better. Still, I face life's challenges--but I do so quite optimistic than I was way long long ago.

Before it was like clinched fists and irresponsible fantasies taking over like hot flashes because it was never experienced, and all expectations were manifest.
It would hurt they said, you'll hate it they said.... Wait, they said. Listening to all their experiences made me crave it more. A witty remark, always the retort to why I had not done it... "it chose me," I said, "I, not it."
After it was like sheer panic, a pure frenzy inside my gut and too much wiring inside my head. It wasn't painful, I didn't hate it, I didn't wait. I did it. And it was exactly opposite of all the hype. Indifference is the first word that comes to mind. Apathy second. I didn't feel anything. Only a dull sensation, like a nagging poke asking, "are you there yet, are you there yet, are you there yet?" It was over before I could answer, and there he lie a grunting beast, slightly satisfied, at least it was free.

I don't know how to put this through... let me try....
Once, when I first started off with Yahoo! Answers, one question that I have answered got me into a turn. I got the best answer for it. Most importantly, I made a wonderful friend. Through the question and his contacts, I get to know more friends, all lovely and sincere people, that I would not imagine I would find just over a question answered....
Yes, it is another kind of butterfly effect. Another thing to make me realised that we are all connected, aren't we?
And thanks to Edward Hopper's "NightHawk", the source for my answer to that question!

when i read the book last hours of sunlight and the military's assault on the environment i wanted the military everywhere to think about it. about how they need to think about it it might help them protect themselves from hazzards to the environment. i would like them to think about it. ancient sunlight because it added impetus to do what must be done to help stop global warming . suggest the book to otherpeople it details a plan to use oil to make materials for solar collectors, then steel for windmills, and my idea electric cars already done but more needs to be done.
