Ford was an anti-Semite who refused to acknowledge that the Holocaust ever happened. I don't believe his business philosophy had anything in to share with Communism. He was an entrepreneur and capitalist in every since of the words.

For the record, Hitler was not a communist. He was a fascist, who rose to power on a wave of German nationalism. Hitler hated the Soviet Union and the communist cause.

No way was Ford a socialist. He believed wholesale in the capitalist system. It created his fortune & allowed him to abuse his labor with long hours and short pay.

As others have noted, he was partial to a more dictatorial sytem of government. He was also a hater of the Jewish people, thus his support of Hitler.

I don't know definitavly, but my geuss is no. He was a harsh industrialist. His workers were putting in 12 hours days and on the minimum wage.

But he also opened up benefits for his workers, like gyms/pools, discounted goods, lunch breaks etc. which was not usually done by other companies.

He was seen at the time as benevolent employer, but by our standards he was not.

No, he was against the communists and very right wing. In fact he thought Hitler was a good guy.

Not that I know of. He was reportedly rather partial to the nazis.
Nobody's perfect.

And no the nazis were not communists. As ought to be obvious from their habit of demonizing and killing communists, as they did all other groups they despised.

Yes. He published a newsletter for Hitler and donated money to him. I always wonder why the current Ford grandson brings him up in his TV ads. I should think he would be ashamed.

Prescott Bush also donated money and campaigned for Hitler's cause. That is our president's grandfather. Don't think the family has changed much since them.
