I am losing my mucus plug rapidly, tinged with streaky blood. I am having numerouse crampy feelings in my back and abdomin, and this is my third pregnancy. I am 37 weeks...how much longer do you think i have until active labor starts?

i don't really know about this stuff, even though it's my third baby because my other 2 came at 33 weeks when my water broke...i've never just "gone into labor" before i guess!

It could start today...or in 2 weeks. Never go by when you lose your plug. I personally, lost mine 3 weeks before I delivered. Some people can start having contractions almost immediately. Every person is different. Good luck.

Time those "crampy feelings" in your back- could be back labor which I had with my 2nd. I had low back pain and some cramping but nothing too terrible. It had a rhythm so I timed it and lo and behold it was labor! By the time I really started feeling the contractions I was on my way to the hospital- I had him 2 hours after arriving.
Don't fool around with this- if you think it is possibly labor you can go to the hospital and get checked. They'll either keep you or send you home.

Well, I lost the first piece of my plug about 3 weeks before my son came, and the last bit of it was probably two days before.... it was a slow process for me, but the blood to me would indicate that you might have lost it all, which will speed things up! Good luck!!

Well, with the 3rd pregnancy it seems to go faster than the 2nd. My first, labor lasted 10hrs, with the 2nd about the same. And the 3rd 4hrs. It really depends on the baby. lol. Best of luck.

You'll probably have your baby before the weeks is out. The bloody show in the mucous plugs indicates it is the end of the plug and the cervix is free to dilate.

during my second pregnancy, i lost a lot of my plug from 37 to my 38th week and i still lasted till my due date. you just can never tell.

Call your Doctor ... Don't ask that questiong in here. Call your Doctor or go and see her. She will be the best person to see and ask about this.

wow that sounds like you are on your way now especially if you see blood. Call your doctor i bet she'll want you to meet her at the hospital ASAP ! good luck
