It would not be a factor in my decision. My boyfriend snores like a jet engine, but I get to sleep before him, it's fine. (We don't live together) If we did get married, I would just deal with it.

Well, it ended up that I did! Of course I had no clue beforehand, because it's not as though we were shacking up or anything...
It's not his fault, though, obviously. He's not overweight by any means, and has no other problems, but snoring seems to be strong in his family - I since have learned. However, he's a buzz-saw, whereas my snoring is pretty and dainty! I have insomnia, too, so we aren't exactly the best sleeping match! Love does conquer all, though.

Was married to a freight train for 7 years. Her snoring did not cause our divorce, however I did sleep many time on the couch because of it. Unfortunately our children took after her.

You marry someone b/c YOU TRULY LOVE THIS PERSON & will ACCEPT this person regardless of their flaws & imperfections. If the snoring is as bad as you talk about it, then suggest a doctor appointment to find out, it could be a health issue, regardless....no one's perfect & EVERYONE SNORES.

My husband does snore loudly, and I did marry him. I sleep though it just fine though. It's like... white noise.

Yes I would (and I did). My husband just went to a sleep clinic...they gave him a 'sleep monitor' that recorded his sleep patterns for 1 night. We returned it and are now waiting to see what the next step is. He will have to go to the sleep clinic next for an overnight visit so they can monitor him. If its bad enough, he'll need to have surgery. But hey, atleast it'll get fixed. If your boyfriend/fiance/or whatever stops breathing for short periods of time and then gasps for air...those are great signs he needs medical attention. Talk to your doctor. I wish we would have sooner...we're going on 6 years of marriage and knowing it could have been fixed sooner would have been wonderful!

My wife and I both snore. After a couple of month you get use to it.

nice question...
if i really loved that noisy snorer, i would suggest he goes to see an ENT specialist to check out his problem and cure his snoring problem...
i would still marry him... reason? Love is not about how noisy one sleeps, is seeing his peacefully asleep face, deep in sleep like a baby angel...

I'm a light sleeper... and moody when tired... with that combination probably wouldn't be a long lasting marriage if I did! Hmmm... they say love is blind, but can it be hard of hearing as well???
