Current theory has the universe expanding more and more rapidly, until everything is diluted to empty, awful blackness. So unlike the beginning of time, which is known with some precision at 13.7 Billion years ago, the universe has no definite end. It just peters out, more with a whimper than a bang.
If you had a spaceship that was capable of extreme FTL speeds, you could reach the edge of the universe quite quickly. But because such speeds are impossible, you can't reach the edge, ever. So to anticipate your question of whether you can reach or look beyond the edge, I would say not.

according to Stephen Hawking, and Einstein, the universe is finite, not infinite. Picture the universe as a very large balloon that is constantly expanding. On the surface of the balloon lies the universe. This coincides with Einstein's space is curved. It also puts an end to the premise that the universe is infinite. Therefore, there is no end to the universe. It is like standing on the north pole and then you proceed to travel south. Eventually, you will end up back at the north pole.
hope this helps

obviously there are two thoeries about it.
one says that the universe would stop expanding & it would begin to shrink. but through experiments its found that the universe is expanding more faster than ever!
the second theory sugest that the universe would expand infinitely & when it runs out of matierial to expand every thing stars, galaxies ,nebulae all will be torn to pieces. & everything will start to decay into gases.
the most accpted one is 2nd one.
u cannot travel at that speed . the max speed an object can attain is light's speed. acc. to einstien theory travelin at speed of light result in the mass increasing to infinity.
acc. to equation F=ma. as mass is infinity aaccelaration is 0.
ther const velocity.hence max speed is light's speed

The universe actually does have an end, however it's still expanding all the time. The big bang being the center / birth place of the universe, after it went boom the pieces of every piece of matter (and darkmatter) were blown in all directions, still the pieces continue expanding.

The answer is in dispute. If the universe does end, the universe has to be in something even larger than the universe, like, a marble in a jar. If it doesn't end, how is that even possible? So, there is no real answer.

if you could go 999 zillion times faster than the speed of light, you may be dead. or god. or both somehow.

Yes you would reach the end of it, the universe is limited in size.
