One of my guppies just gave birth to a dozen fry and there is this small thing floating around it has a shiny silver top and a very squirmy tail. I don't know if it is a parasite or an under developed fry. One of the bigger guppies ate the "thing." Should I be worried and what should I do?

Sounds like an under developed fry to me. Very few fish parasites are that large ( big enough to see) and if it was one of those, it probably died when the fish ate it. I wouldn't worry at all.

Guppies are predisposed to deformed fry because they have so many. This ounds like it would have been the 'runt' of the litter. Don't worry about it most parasites are too small to see.
