Where have you learned more ? At school or on the streets ?

Even basic things .Did the teacher teach you or did you learn thru good diolog with your friends and watching television .

Well from the streets I came to know all sorts of cool things...like what 8 ball really means (not talking about pool either) and through school (med school)I came to know how to fix a bullet wound. So it evens out in the end.

Basic things like "reading, riting, rithmetic" I learned at school and from my mom. I learned complex things in school too but those are things that arent necessary to survival. I have learned things "on the streets" through friends and jobs and whatnot. But most everything I've learned just from my own experiences.

I would say a healthy balance of all of the above. The school/book learning is a very important foundation to build upon. You can have both street smarts and book smarts without sacrificing too much of either one.

I've learned more at work...17 years at the same place..the grocery store!

And after I got my computer...I learned sooooooo much!

I learned what I know about human nature from watching The Rockford Files!

On the streets. I learned that when a guy that you don't know is following you and he comes up and starts talking to you, kick him between the legs and run for your life

Most definitely school. At school, I learn all my stuff in classes, and it usually sticks. Also, with all of the kids around, I've learned alot of life lessons and about the human mind and stuff. It's amazing.....

I'm not saying that school is not necessary, but I've learned much more outside of the classroom than in.

I learned my book smarts in school, and my street smarts on the street. Pretty neat, eh?
