I became this teacher's favorite student; she viewed me as a very classy and elegant female. She said that I am a true Southern Belle. She became my favorite teacher. I view her as another mother to me. Well...I graduated on last Tuesday and after graduation I went to her to give her a hug and say goodbye. She told me that she was hoping that she would get to see me before I left. I had told her about my graduation party and personally invited her to it. I gave her every detail about it so she would know where it was going to be held at. She told me that she would probably stop by and congratulate me. The day of my party I was looking for her, but unfortunately, she didn't show up. I'm not upset with her at all. I'm just trying to figure out in my mind the reason why she didn't show up. I'm concernced about her.

I would write her a lovely note thanking her for all her help and support, and expressing regret that she was 'unable to attend' your party. No negatives, just that she was missed.
That is what a 'true Southern belle' would do.

Don't take it personally. She might have had an important call, she could have gotten sick, there are a number of reasons why she couldn't come. You can call her up and ask.

You need to call her and ask what held her back from the party.
