Can't tell how he feels...?

(I already asked this once but got no advice!)
So I met this guy, "Jake", about two months ago, and we have started to develop a friendship. He's really cute, charming, and everything I want in a b.f. As you can probably tell, I have a major crush on him. About a month ago, I started to get the feeling that he liked me back. He was flirting with me and there were other signs of his feelings. Well, I was shocked when, about a week ago, he asked out "Cynthia". Jake and Cynthia never seemed to talk or anything before this. Now that they're going out, they hold hands & stuff, but you can tell that there's not a "connection". Since Jake started going out with Cynthia, he has suddenly become more outgoing and talkative towards me, doing things that seem a little different from his naturally shyer personality. Has his "romance" with Cynthia given him more confidence to talk to me? What's going on with him? Please help - I just can't tell how he feels! Thanx!

It seems to me that he, for whatever reason, "Jake" is interested in Cynthia. He may like you, as a friend, and wants to keep it that way. He may even feel a little guilty for choosing her over you. (sorry)

I know how it hurts to like a guy and not be 'the one' for him. I've 'been there'.

You need to look elsewhere....date other guys, get busy with your own life...be interesting. If "Jake" is at all interested in you, it may get his attention. And you will show him you have an exciting life and aren't hanging on his every word and little bit of attention he gives you.

Don't kid yourself...there is probably more of a "connection" than they are showing you. They actually may be trying not to rub their relationship in your face.

Even though it hurts....move on.

Sounds just about like it could desire to be a rap. i like it. Your important thought here wasn't clean to me. It appeared such as you had lots of of stuff all going at here at as quickly as. I believe he likes u. But that doesn't matter. What matters is that u think he likes u. And u should find out because it's not nice living with the doubts. So, show courage and do something that obviously shows u like him. Make the first move and don't think that u are a girl. We live in 21st century and there should be no rules about who makes the first move. And if u get rejected don't feel bad about it, I mean not a lot. Things like that happen but showing someone your feelings is a big step for your personality, it makes u stronger and more confident. Good luck girl!!

i really don't know what to tell ya i was gonna say if you felt that he liked you back then ask him out but then i read farther down and it said ALL that so i really don't know but i say that he's tryin to make you jealous because you knew that he liked you back cause he was showin it and you did'nt ask him out or anything but thats just the best advice i can give cause thats what i think about the situation well...

well, he may like her but is staying with her to see how you react to them being "together" and if he hasn't ALWAYS acted liek that with you, then he must still like you. and maybe cynthia has changed him, to be more outgoing and less shy of girls who he likes. But keep talking to him and being his bestfriend. maybe tell him how you feel, and he may tell you the same thing.
