I don't think it would fly - the Canadian dollar is climbing to record highs (many analysts have it pegged to be higher than the U.S. dollar before the end of the year), so the point is fairly moot.
(it's currently at 0.9329 - that's 93+ cents for each dollar)

This appears to be a program that lacks Congressional oversight. Part of the proposal includes elmination of borders between Mexico, the United States and Canada and the establishment of a continental parameter. We essentially forfeit economic autonomy and implement a treasury and monetary system that is unified with that of Canada and Mexico. I don't see the American people standing for this since there is little to be gained by merging our monetary system with that of Mexico. If I was a Canadian, I wouldn't want my economy merged with either the United States or Mexico.

It would be okay if they would drop off a couple crates at my house so I could give it a test run. After I spent a significant amount of if I would be willing to write a detailed report to the issuing authority.

It would never work. Importers would no longer be making huge profits, and banks would lose tens of billions in profits.
The Federal Reserve would never go for the idea.
