They can't trade him now. Florida wanted him before the season began and they couldn't work anything out. With the way he's been pitching there is no way anyone will take him now. All they can do is keep throwing him out there and hope he starts pitching better.

Yes you are right he has not been his 1997-1998 self, but, the matter that he balked twice in an inning doesn't give reason to just go and trade the man, the first one was questionable, the second not so much, Jose Reyes is good in getting in the pitchers heads and after the first balk, Reyes was already in his head and just making things worse by jumping like a little girl, but I say no, you would not get anything out of him, nor does he need to be traded. My guess is they give someone else the closer job and move him to set up man.

LOL, well in order to trade him someone has to want him. Hmmmm, maybe they can work out a deal with the Burger King down the street from me, I am pretty sure they need counter help. The giants could probably get a couple value meals and a hershey pie for him. Maybe.

He just lost tonight at Shea... 2 Bulks in an inning. My nephew can do better... Here's a deal Sabean can think about. Vinnie Chulk/Kline and Benitez for Derrick Turnbow.

They should just outright release him and eat his contract, which is a practice that has been done in recent years to other overpriced, poorly performing players (sorry for the alliteration). I don't think you'd get a bag of balls for him and if someone did take him, the Giants would probably have to pay a lot of his contract. So just can him and move on!

If you are questioning him then yes they should get rid of him or try trading for a closer and make him a set up guy.

Benitez is unworthy. Only with a closer who is strong with the dark side will the Giants rule the galaxy.

He's actually only blown two saves this year. They probably could get a little something for him, but I think most teams would consider him too much of a risk given his age and track record.

I hate the Giants for this. Joe Nathan was supposed to be their next closer after Nen left. Then the sh*t heads trade him and FRANCISCO LARIANO to the twins for AJ frickin Piersinksi? WTF. Now Tim Lincecum was supposed to be the next closer now he's a starter, doing quite well I might add. WTF The Giants bullpen will be their downfall this year.
Anyway noone will want him. Our best bet is if Troy Persival comes out of retirement and we can get him.

His stock isn't very high right now. Not sure if they can get anything good back for him in return.
