What the hell is up with the yanks? Im getting so friggin depressed over it. Does anyone else feel the same way? Im diehard, and I always believe that they will come back as they always do. But now i am getting frustrated. Anyone have anything to say? I must be reassured that they can come back, but HOW? 14.5 Games, OMG

I am a Yanks fan too, but a realist and I must say stick a fork in them, baby, because they are done! The big problem is their starting pitching as they have a bunch of old, oft-injured, high priced vets who can't get it done anymore. They have used seven different rookies as a starting pitcher already this year and you can't do that in the competitive American League. There are just way too many loaded teams with good lineups--Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, etc. They don't even have a chance for the wild card as too many A.L. Central teams are better than the Yanks. Better luck next season!

What's up is the average team age, and it keeps climbing, not season by season, but with just about every acquisition.

The Yankees aren't the be all and end all of anyone's life, not even George Steinbrenner's. And they don't always get to post-season.

The first WS was played in 1903. The Yankees didn't get there for the first time until 1921. Here's the list of years in which they did get to postseason, with the gaps indicating seasons in which they didn't.

Please note that the world did not end when they DIDN'T get there.

Winning simply isn't an entitlement. That's a life lesson, although TLC doesn't have a figurine for that one.

Depressed over your favorite team not playing well?? Sorry man but thats kinda sad. Its just a game and you shouldn't take it so hard. It makes things more interesting when you're team doesn't win every year. I'm a fan of the Royals and I don't get depressed because they suck every year. I'd love it if they had a good season every once and while, but it doesn't affect my daily life when they don't. Seriously....find something else to cheer you up and don't let it affect you so much.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you cannot be assured they can come back. You see, they live in the past, and their pitching is OLD and poor, their hitting is from a lineup filled with highly paid prima donnas, they are NOT a team, they have rotten attitudes (except for Jeter), and until and unless they REBUILD while ridding themselves of the heavy weights, they will continue to be a second rate team. They have fallen into disarray and have not figured out how to rebound because they don't know how from the leadership to the players themselves.

Chow!!

Its called chemistry. They have none. They change players so often and get players that are all about themselves. The only team player i see in the Yanks is DEREK JETER. I hate him like hell but he is amazing clutch player. OH and the pitching staff sucks too

i can't reassure you of anything because they are playing extremely poorly right now...their pitching has been subpar all season and now their offense is beginning to falter...i think they could still make a run at boston, but they had better start playing really well really fast because the red sox aren't going to give that much ground

I think its cool. They can't buy the WS. Even if they made the play-offs the Angels would probably knock them out in the first round..

it's called, TO many cocks in one pin!

you know, way to much money.... way to much attitude and well NOT enough team work.

that's pretty much it and plus, they needed a little slap in the face and hit the ground action.... that way they will come back as team that everyone will enjoy watching them play AND then get beat! ;-) hahahahaha
