I am an ultra-liberal, damn near on the brink of communism, man and I would never put a woman in a position where she would have to make that choice. At the same time, I feel that I should have no say over what a woman does with her body. I do not support abortion, but would not vote against it. This sounds ambivalent. Why do Republicans make us liberals seem like animals when it comes to abortion?

I can only speak for myself. One reason is many of the liberals believe that partial birth abortions also known as late term abortions should be legal. To me, that can be called nothing other than murder. Also, many conservatives (including myself) believe that abortions are taken way too lightly in this society. It should not be so easy for a young girl to get out of school, without her parents knowledge and have a major procedure performed on her. Not to mention the HUGE emotional toll it will take on her for the rest of her life. I don't believe abortion should be legal at all. It is not just a woman making a decision about her own body, there is another life to consider.

Abortion does not kill the mother, but kills an innocent baby. Three people are involved in the killing; the mother, father, and the baby. The most defenseless loses. The baby has as much right to live as the mother. There are many laws on the books that govern what one can do with their bodies. Minors cannot get tatoos or ear piercings without a parent approval, but liberal will not stop a minor from killing her baby. Minors who get pregant were involved in a crime, but yet liberals will not prosecute the rapists. Liberals allow the criminal to go free, but punish the baby by killing it. Now tell me who the animals are?

They're running for office. It seems today's primary campaign strategy is to slam the other guy. There are a lot of conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans, so there's a lot of gray area in the parties. I happen to be quite conservative and a Republican but I would not vote against abortion either. I think if you're incapable of getting pregnant you should have no say in the matter. Being a guy that had a vasectomy 37 years ago, I'm incapable of fathering a child either.

Monte, I am a capitalist and have a very similar view. My stance is Adults only. Kids only with consent from parents or court if family problems exist. I am also a republican. Not all of us want to whack you over the head with a Bible.
However the abortion issue is party platform for both.
Congrats you are not a Kool Aid drinking kook and have a brain.

a collection of cells isn't someone. That being out of how, right that's a rapid question : have you ever killed a spider? That replaced into an harmless life. there has been many, MANY errors interior the previous concerning capital punishment. that's why there are some human beings against it. so trouble-free as that. i in my view think of there are too many human beings on earth, so i'm thinking it. to blame or no longer, basically rid the earth of a few human beings. this is gloomy although that maximum crooks are rich and for that reason previous the obstacles of "justice".

I see it as murder. Not to be so blatant, but I am a strong Christian and I have really strong moral values. That doesnt mean you dont have strong moral values, but I want to do something about it. I dont want to see innocent babies to be killed because a woman and a man cant control their sexual urges. Yes there are some times I see where a woman wouldnt want to have the child in cases of rape or incest. I would still rather them have the baby and then let it be adopted. I really hate it when women have an adoption in i believe the last trimester which pretty much means going in and breaking its neck to kill it. I just want to be an active participant against abortion.

So whats the difference between accepting abortion and just letting it happen?

It is a basic tenet of American liberalism that abortion is good. They consistently oppose anything & everything that might have trhe effect of reducing the number of abortions.
