though i love and respect chris cornell a whole lot,

RAGE

has to take the cake, simply because they are so unique and politically involved.

Looks like I'm the odd man out.....I've never liked Rage, mainly because I think Zach is trite....he tends to climb on a soap box a little too often and start preaching. So when one of the most amazing singers replaced one of the most annoying singers, it was divine. Chris Cornell is not only a great song writer, but the depth and range of his voice far surpasses anything Zach can do. Or will. I loved all the Soundgarden albums and I loved all the Audioslave albums.....my Rage album never get listened to....they all sound the same. I was really bummed out when he left Audioslave.....

Rage

rage is absolutely amazing, and i think Audioslave just never had the fire that rage did...Morello is such a sound pioneer, that i think he felt restrained in Audioslave, whereas in rage he could do pretty much whatever he came up with. Cornell's slur just can't match up to the energy emitted by de la Rocha...that group of musicians produces the most energy out of any band ever...just watch "Battle of Mexico City" and when "Testify" kicks in...watch out

His new acoustic stuff is really good (under the name "the nightwatchman")...he actually wrote all the rage riffs on acoustic, believe it or not

I agree with N R. Audioslave musically also appealed to me more so than Rage did.

Rage is clearly the winner. They were revolutionary and original. Audioslave were not.

AUDIORAGE...hmm that's a good one. I got with Audioslave, because I do not have the political aggression that Rage had with their music.
