Just think about this. American troops are responsible for the freedom many places on the earth enjoy. If it was not for American trouble by now Hitler and his successors would of had killed off the Jews completely, France would be speaking German and Asian would have rivers flowing with human blood even in this day. Rosie knows this so why should she belittle the troops? This is even if she is against the Iraqi conflict in specific and war/killing in general. Even the Iraqi conflict opposers know this, so do you think they will disrespect the troops? What I think she meant is that a lot of civilian lives has been lost since American invaded for political reasons. So the pain we expressed on 9/11 is happening to them in a way too. She is not implying that American troops are ruthless killers. People, you have brains... try to use them once in a while to see the deeper meaning behind words!

Rosie O'Donnell is just a miserable person. Rosie is just p*ssed off with the world because she got kicked off "The View" because of her ignorant mouth. Just ignore her and consider the source. Eventually, Rosie might actually realize that nobody is interested in what comes out of her fat mouth and learn to keep that stadium size mouth of her's shut for a change.

Rosie has stated many times that she supports the troops but does not support the president of the US George W. Bush in his decision to invade Iraq. She has made trips out to visit wounded soldiers returning home from the war and has shown herself to be extremently compassionate towards these brave men & woman. Her words have been so misconstrued in the media & its like she has said, if she was pretty & skinny & straight would this be as big a deal as it has become? She is loud and passionate & a voice for a great many that believe this war needs to stop and the troops need to be home with their families. Peace to all!

Rosie is no longer on 'The View.' I think we should just forget about what she said, considering she won't even defend her comment, and choice the easy way out - quit the show in order to avoid the consequences of her fight with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth can be annoying, but at least she is willing to stay on the show, despite the tiff.

you can ignore her because she doesn't understand that they are putting their lives on the line not to strike fear into the iraqi civilians and good people that make this world a great place. she is just blind to the fact that many members, not all, are doing what they feel is right for making this world a more peacful place for our children and even her. not everyone has the right motivation or makes the right choices and in something as huge as war there are going to be a lot of mistakes and jerks even on our side. but that doesn't make all of our troops terrorists. just ignore people like that because they are just full of their own views and opinions and they feel like people are actually taking it in and considering it to be a reasonable truth.
