If a private individual calls a number and asks if his car or house is for sale, will I be in trouble or am I ok? This is assuming that the party has his/her number already on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. This regards to California. Thanks.

The Do Not Call Registry does not cover charity or political calls, and does not block any company with which you have done business, such as Sears or Target. If you are calling a person who has listed the number in an advertisement for sale, it is all right, but if you are a realtor/salesman attempting to drum up business, and the person has had no prior contact with you, no, it is not allowed.
