I have a toshiba adapter that has an input of 100-240V~1.3A 50-60Hx and an output of 19V==3.95A

The second one is a Fujitsu with an input of 100-240V~1.5-0.9A 50-60Hz and an output of 19V==3.37V

my fujitsu is broken and i am looking for a solution in the toshiba adapter. I realize that their outputs are slightly different but is this significant?

I've worked with electronics's since 1958 and have been known as a very good technician. The the rating in ampere's only mean what the adapter is capable of. In other words you have enough output wattage to run your Fujitsu with the Toshiba, but the Fujitsu adapter would lack in running the the Toshiba. So you should not have a problem if....... the positive and negative terminals are the same.

Yes, you could damage it if the voltage is too high. Luckily most connectors are different sizes and won't fit. You should buy a proper adapter for the laptop.

If the connectors fit, you're probably OK.

I stress probably.

You could also toast yourself. The question is - is it worth potentially hosing your machine to save the cost of a new power adapter?

They do sell universal adapters. But will another adapter work, I caution you, if you have internet, find the manufactor, and get the specs, do not change that. You will fry the board.

It may be okay, but be careful and don't leave it unattended for a while. Don't blame anyone here if something fries.
