My husband and I want to sell our home. We found a beautiful new community of new construction in S. Wis. but the seller's market is very, very slow in Northern Illinois.

What tips do you have for selling your home fast?

Market price dictates EVERYTHING. The equation is VERY simple. Price your home just below comparative homes, it will sale. Be realitic. Detatch any personal value you place on your home. Look at homes, just like yours, then under-price them. Write this down!!!!!!!!!!!! "if you price your home to sell, it will sell! Period, in any market.

Now you may not like the price you get, but reality, is reality. If you price it right, it's gone

It will sell fast, just like the previous person mentioned! If the comps are ie 400,000 sell it at 300,000. It will sell. BUT, I'm sure you don't want to lose out on your investment, go here http://www.giler.net/surveyors-engineers-architects/forum/index.php
They have a section related to real estate and development- they can probably point you in the right direction

The only way to sell fast is price it below value. Anything will sell quickly with the right price. I am not suggesting you do that, but that is absolutely the fastest way to sell, no matter what market you are in.
