Sum of matrices?

What is the sum of a (subscript 34) + a(subscript 41) in matrix A?

A = [ 2 9 5 7 9
4 2 4 4 7
3 8 2 3 7
2 3 4 8 3]

Also can u plz show me how you got the answer.. cuz i think a(subscript 34) is 4 and a(subscript 41) is 4 so is the answer 8??

a(subscript 34) is the value in the 3rd row, 4th column of matrix A, which in this case is 7. a(sub 41) is 2. 7+2=9.

a (34) = 3
a (41) = 2
sum = 5
