If your laptop's battery is not lasting as long as you feel it should the issue may be that the battery is malfunctioning or it may be another component of your laptop that is not charging the battery properly. Sometimes the power adapter pieces could become damaged and as such not charge the battery properly. Or that the internal wiring of your laptop could be damaged and not supplying the power to the battery properly to charge it.

Before a new battery can be ordered PC Support Services would need to determine the exact cause of your short battery life and take the appropriate steps to repair it.To have your laptop (or battery) serviced properly!!

Sorry dude, that's not a configuration problem. Your charger or your battery is toast. Sounds like probably the battery, since the charger still works as a power cord.

You need a new battery.

Number one thing is the battery could be bad. I would take the battery out, and plug in the laptop, and then restart it. Try that first.
