If you haven't read my other answer to your other question, do so. And by the way, I wasn't trying to point out the faults of the argument, I was only trying to correct you. Sorry if it came across wrong.
Yes, I believe -- know, actually -- that werewolves exist, see my other answer, but I don't know the extent. I mean, I don't think that the hollywood monstrosity that walks on two legs and looks freaky beyond belief is based in fact. Werewolves turn into wolves, not wolf-things.
Anyway, I hate to say it again, but a human and a creature of a different species can't mate. Besides, werewolves were never thought to be the result of such things, nor are they in reality.
I am going to be original and actually answer the question. Humans refuse to believe these things for several reasons, depending on who they are, but I think it is about how people are raised. In our modern soceity and culture, people are taught to think that something can only be real if either you have seen it or someone smarter or more qualified than you has found it. People follow science, and while science is great, humans forget that it is not all-seeing. New discoveries are made every day, and some things that are hard to observe are not proven. However, this doesn't mean that things aren't real, just beyond the vision of science, waiting in the darkness of ignorance to be discovered.
Crazier things have happened and been believed. I have seen stranger, harder to believe things than werewolves with my own eyes. I have seen things that made me wonder if I was crazy, but I know what I've seen and done. Believing in the possibility of one more strange thing is something I can do.

The call-line concept replaced into awesome -- there are issues on earth that individuals have a no longer elementary time believing (i.e. werewolves), yet something has some troublesome inaccuracies. First, the issues that are provable actuality: a guy and a horse would not make a horse/guy. they can't effectively reproduce mutually in any respect. they are too far aside genetically for that to artwork. And a guy and a wolf would not make a werewolf. In each and every of the werewolf legends that ever have been, a werewolf replaced into no longer the baby of a human and a wolf. many times, they have been delivered approximately via some form of magic or sorcery. depending on which legend, it would desire to be a chant, a garment, a take care of the devil, or a non secular ingredient. flow-species breeding performed no area everywhere, sorry. additionally, werewolves have in no way been referred to as living off of blood, sorry. you would be questioning of vampires, and the blood ingredient is a delusion besides. and regardless of if a werewolf have been the top results of guy + wolf, they may well be some variety of deformed ingredient, no longer a shape changing being. Now for the area i won't be in a position to coach to you (no longer that that's much less actual for it): i'm a werewolf, and that i'm able to allow you recognize that the two one in each and every of my mothers and dads are human. i know that I haven't any wolf ancestry (which would be relatively disgusting). So i'm afraid that on an analogous time as the underlying subject is large, the actual and mythical inaccuracies are many. Please do no longer take this the incorrect way, yet you may examine genetics until now you employ it to attempt and prepare a delusion. you're an open-minded man or woman, as i'm able to tell from a number of your solutions, yet you're making your self sound like a fool. and that i'm particular you do no longer prefer that. ------- Oops, I forgot to answer the question! the respond is, no person is for particular why. i think of it relatively is how each and every physique is raised. fairly of, "something can ensue," people get the message of "purely what you will locate is actual, and if no person else observed it then it replaced into nevertheless no longer actual." it relatively is a defective message no count how reliable it sounds. yet people hang to it because of the fact it replaced into regular so early on. some individuals are luckier and are not getting caught that way; others do no longer and in no way seek for what they have in no way seen. and that's the only thank you to locate.

True. There is evidence of the early hominids having relations with each other (neanderthal with homo sapiens-or others). We do still breed with other animals, but they don't usually survive unless the genetics are close enough (even then often for one generation).
Mules are an example, they can't breed with other mules becausd\e they would become sterile in the next generation
There are documented cases of many animals going extinct within the last two centuries alone, like the moa, red rhino, dodo, and others.
It isn't farfetched to think that maybe some wierder looking creatures died off in the distant past.
If a werewolf creature (or other man-beast) were created, it would probably be like the mule or be instantly sterile at birth. Humans are often lacking in genetic material. Don't chimps have 20 more genes than us? and others have crazy numbers of genes

There certainly have been many strange species over the earth's history, but your talking about creatures of legend. A creature that's half man and half beast is mere myth and has no basis in fact. It would take alot more that "a few genetic faults" to have a creature that's half man and half horse. Humans cannot produce offspring with any other creatures through mating, including chimpanzees, which are our nearest living relatives. Perhaps neanderthals and humans successfully mated, but this is a highly controversial theory.

I think that the people who say that "unusual creatures" have no imagination what so ever.
And, yes, I think that man and beast can mate.
