Whenever you are given more variables than the number of equations, the problem has infinitely many solutions. Besides that, if you graph the line, you would have a straight line going all the way down and the other end going all the way up. As you can see, the x value differs, and the y value as differs.
When x is 1 y is -5
When x is 0 y is 0
When x is 2 y is -10.

To solve for y you must assign a value to x. You can create a table.

x / y
1/ -5
2 / -10
3 / -15
-1 / 5
-2 / 10
-3 / 15

And so on and so on.

It depends... are you trying to solve for x? If so, you divide both sides by "-5", which will give you: (y/-5)=x.
